NewsToy Story Land: One Step Closer to Opening.
The last portion of the track for Slinky Dog Dash was recently installed. This brings the new area of the park one step closer to its summer 2018 opening. Dad is going to predict that this attraction will be on the same tier as Toy Story Midway Mania, so you are probably going to have to choose between the two for a FastPass+. Up until Monday, Disney’s new Minnie Van service was running for free to get the people excited about seeing them. Now it will cost you about $20 for a one-way trip. To start, they have service available at Disney’s BoardWalk and Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. Yes, it’s only available at three resorts right now but they will eventually expand to all. You can use the Lyft app on your phone (or by contacting bell services at the select resorts) and travel anywhere you want to on property. The service is currently offered from 6:30 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORYMission: SPACE Returns.
Mission: SPACE will reopen after an extended refurbishment on August 13th. With the reopening comes a few new changes. First, the Green Mission has become more family-friendly. You will now orbit Earth. Younger riders will now be able to use X-2 booster seats so that children 40-44” will be able to ride. The prior height restrictions were 44” and up. Second, the Orange, aka “intense” Mission has been enhanced with HD video to make it even more realistic! Word on the street is they are renaming the Green and Orange Missions, but Disney has not made an official comment. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORYMobile Order Adds More Restaurants.

It’s with great sadness that Dad must report on the passing of Disney Legend Marty Sklar. Marty was the closest living connection to Uncle Walt as he worked closely with him. He is known for his contribution to Disney theme parks. Rest in Peace, Mr. Sklar. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORYWant to make sure you see Toy Story Land on your next trip to WDW?
