Planning a Trip for October 2021 When to Start

from Judy

When do I need to start planing our Disney World trip for October 2021? We’re making a reservation for hotel for 2 adults Want to be there on Sept 21, 2021 for 14 days leave on Oct.4.  We know what hotel group we want to stay in. Do want to use a good Disney planner.

October 2021 is going to be huge. I can’t wait to see what they do for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. It’s going to be Magic (as long as they don’t bring back that pink castle).

When to Start Planning the October 2021 Trip

As to when to start planning for your trip in 2021, it’s time. Hotel room reservations can be made (if it’s a Disney hotel) 499 days before arrival which will be January 31st. So you need to get your hotel chosen and ready. If you are looking for a package with tickets and such, you’ll be able to make package reservations sometime around the middle of June (if Disney follows the regular pattern).

After you get your trip booked the next big date is your Dining Reservation or ADR date. That’s 180 days before arrival, which will be March 25, 2021. So you have a while to prepare. So 8 or so months before you arrive planning kicks into high gear. There will be some downtimes in there, but that’s when the work happens.

Good Disney Planner

For your good Disney planner, we highly recommend Destinations to Travel. They are our Disney trip partner. They do all the reservations for my trips. They can help you plan and book your trip, including helping (and making) hotel, dining and even FastPass reservations. They’ll even work with you to build an itinerary that they will print out and send to you.

The best part is their services are free. All you need to do is fill out the form on the Destinations to Travel page and they will be in touch.

Dad’s Bottom Line

Judy, it’s never too early to start planning a trip for October 2021. Even though it seems like a long time, there’s always something to look at, something to think about, something to get opinions about, something to ask questions about. The 50th Anniversary is going to be a lot of fun.

Be sure to talk to Destinations to Travel. They’re great. You can also join Dad’s Facebook Community and get all kinds of information. It’s a fun and safe place.
