"I'm torn on what hotel to stay at. We have a family of five, 13, 12, 10 and in 2015 we stayed at the Beach Club and absolutely loved it. The location was perfect and the pool was amazing. We tend to do a lot of dining in the World's Showcase so a quick walk is perfect, however, I desperately want to justify staying at the Polynesian. I've never stayed there and would love to mix it up. I realize I've answered my own question," Yeah, you did, "but the Polynesian is pretty awesome isn't? The kids would love it, too, I'm sure. From one dad to another, any advice?"

I would say that's a hard one, but it's really not. I love the Polynesian. It's my favorite place in the whole wide world. If I had all the money in the world, I would dump a bunch into those bungalows at the Polynesian and just live there. I just love the feel of the Polynesian. I love Ohana, Kona Café, in fact, we are planning on our trip to eat at Kona Café and Ohana and we're not eating at many restaurants while we're there. I even love Captain Cook's. I love the gift shops. It's just my favorite place in the whole world.
But the Beach Club Resort is pretty cool - Photo by Wayne Wood
That being said, if you're spend most of your time in Epcot, it makes more sense to stay that the Beach Club. The Beach Club is really convenient. That short little walk over to Epcot. I've never stayed at the Beach Club, but I stayed at the Yacht Club, right next door. I love that short little walk into the back of Epcot. Really, really convenient, especially if you like to eat at the World's Showcase. If you're going to be eating at the World's Showcase every night, if you're coming from your hotel, it's easy to get over and go back to your hotel after you eat. It's very convenient. Very convenient.
What I would suggest is, hey, you've been there, you've done that, you can take the monorail back to the Polynesian pretty quick. Been there, done that. Go to the Polynesian this time. Just that simple. Just break down and do it. If you think you're going like it, again, this is what you want, not what I want, this is what's best for you, not what's best for me, but if the Polynesian sounds cool, if the family is all in, go. It's a great place to stay. It's a great place to stay.
I would suggest you get in touch with our travel agent partners at Destinations to Travel and let them help you with that booking. They can even help you make that decision. That's kind of what they do. They can help you make your reservation, your dining reservations, your fast-pass reservations. They can help you with My Disney Experience. They're just great partners to have.
If something goes wrong while you're on your trip, they can help you get it fixed. I know we've had some people that got sick while they were there, couldn't enjoy their trip, Destinations to Travel worked with Disney and got them a free trip because they couldn't enjoy their trip because they got so sick. They were in the hospital. Just didn't work out. It's always good to have a travel agent partner when you travel. Give them a shout. They can really help.
The bottom line is Beach Club, great hotel. It's close to Epcot, but the transportation to Epcot from the Polynesian is really, really good. I love that monorail ride. Sit back on the monorail and go back over to the Polynesian. Just really, really fun. I'd suggest you try the Polynesian this time, unless you're just going spend a lot of time at something like the Food and Wine Festival. It's your choice. Whatever is best for you.
