Pop Century room Refurbishment update
by Stephen (Dracut, MA)
“Carl, can you give me an update on the refurbishments of the Pop Century? What decade’s buildings have been completed so far? Thanks.”

Okay Stephen here we go. I started to just say I have no idea. I haven’t been able to find any information. Yesterday or, yeah yesterday when I was looking, I was doing research. I checked blogs. I checked groups and nobody had any information. One Disney group said, “I was there last week. Just the 90s, just one 90s building was done.” I knew that wasn’t true. Didn’t want to say that.
So but last night I’m sitting in my easy chair and scrolling through Facebook and there’s a post from Touring Plans. Just came out yesterday. Post from Touring Plans about the Pop Century refurbishments. They do a nice review of the rooms, but right at the bottom they say, “The 80s buildings and the 90s buildings are all done and now they’re working on the 70s building.”
They are making good progress. They’re done with the 90s. They’re done with the 80s. They’re moving from south to north and they’re going backwards in time. 90s, 80s, 70s, probably do the 60s and the 50s. That’s probably how they’ll progress because that’s the way the buildings are laid out at the Pop Century.
So they’re starting at one end and moving towards the other and so if they’re working on when they get the 70s building done, they’ll be more than half through.
Dad’s Bottom Line
So 90s, 80s are done,, 70s are being worked on so they’re making good progress. They’re supposed to be done in May of next year so they’ve got some time to go, but they are making good progress. Coming right along.
