Questions about Disney Transportation, Offsite Tickets and Destinations to Travel
(New York )
We are planning a trip for Dec 2019. It will be my first trip during Christmas time. We will stay off site as we have timeshare at Wyndham. I have a couple of questions.
Once we enter a park would we be able to use Disney transportation to visit Disney Resort Hotels to see the Christmas Decorations?
Are Magic band mandatory? Can tickets purchased at the Official Ticket Center be linked to the bands? Have you ever use the Undercover Tourist site for ticket purchase?
Would Destinations to Travel able to help with details if we are not staying on site?
Sorry about the rapid fire questions I am a little excited. Thank you in advance.
Rapid Fire Answers
Howdy. Let's answer your questions really quickly.
Disney Transportation is free and open for everyone to use. You will be able to use it to see all the Christmas decorations which is a great use of it. In fact we have a handy plan that will help you see them.
Next comes tickets and MagicBands. MagicBands are not necessary. Most people that stay offsite have the old credit card like ticket. It works as well as a MagicBand even for FastPass+.
Tickets from The Official Ticket Center can be linked to your MagicBand, in fact, any ticket can be linked to a MagicBand. You can do that in your My Disney Experience account just by linking the ticket number from your confirmation into MDE.
I have not purchased tickets from Undercover Tourist. We recommend and use The Official Ticket Center.
Destinations to Travel does have an option to help people not using their reservation services. You will have to pay for it, but in my opinion it's worth the money. When you fill out the form, in the comments tell them you are staying in a timeshare but are still interested in their services and they'll get right back with you.
Dad's Bottom Line
There you go Normajean. Have a great trip.
