Hey Y’all! The New Fantasyland officially opens next week on December 6th. For the past few weeks the new attractions and restaurants have been open for a sneak peek for many guests visiting Walt Disney World. I have read many reviews of the Be Our Guest restaurant and it sounds like a great dining experience.

First I want to talk about the quick serve lunch.

During the lunch hours you will be able to order at several food kiosks in a secret hallway. The lunch menu looks pretty good. You will able to start with a bowl of French Onion Soup or Potato Leek Soup. Then it is on the main course. Choose from Braised Pork, Carved Turkey, Croque Monsieur Sandwich, Quinoa Salad, Tuna Nicoise Salad, or Vegetable Quiche.

Finally, the sweets. Pick from one of three cupcake flavors: Strawberry Cream Cheese, Lemon Meringue, or Triple Chocolate. The kids can choose from a carved turkey sandwich, Mickey Meatloaf, Seared Mahi Mahi, or Slow Cooked Pork. This sounds like a great place to stop and eat lunch.

Sometime in the afternoon Be Our Guest magically changes into a sit down dinner restaurant. When it’s time to eat, you will be escorted to seats in one of the three dining rooms and get to enjoy a meal fit for royalty. Appetizers guests can chose from include Charcuterie Plate filled with meats and sausages or you could pick to eat Mussels Provencal. There is also the 2 soups served at lunch or a salad trio. The salad trio looks good to try.

For the main dish, you can pick from grilled strip steak, layered ratatouille, pan seared salmon, shrimp and scallops, or thyme scented pork rack chop. The kiddos can choose from grilled steak or whole grain macaroni.

Dessert has two options: the cupcakes from the lunch menu or a cream puff filled with passion fruit, lemon-raspberry or chocolate.

Now I want to talk about the interior of Beast Castle which is where Be Our Guests is situated.

At the entrance to the restaurant to the park is a crumbling arch very symbolic of the movie. This is where you’ll be able to stop and see the shield and get a glance of the menu near the entrance.

After that you’ll walk over a bridge with a stunning view. The bridge overlooks the mountains the castle sits on top of. There is even a waterfall. While walking across the bridge you will encounter gargoyles which guard the restaurant. Just like in the movie.

After crossing the bridge you’ll come to metal gates guarding the castle. If you make it past the gates (everyone does) you’ll enter the restaurant through two large wood doors. Stone statues sit on either side of the doors. The statues eyes seem to follow you as you enter the room where you can see the mosaic tiles that tell the story of the Beast.

There are three distinctly different dining rooms in Be Our Guest. There is in the Ballroom (where the Beast and Belle danced the night away) which holds hundreds of seats and lots of tables. At one end of the room the windows feature snowy mountains against a night sky. This is a real escape from the usual scenery in Florida. Chandeliers and art can been seen as you look up.

The Rose Gallery is another seating area which features a music box with Belle and the Beast on top. There is also a beautiful rose chandelier in the center of the room above the music box.

The West Wing is the most mysterious area of all. It features a rose which petals drop just like in the movie. There is a portrait of the Beast which changes as each petal falls. It starts as the Prince and as the petals drop turns into the Beast. There are other portraits which portray scenes from the movie Beauty and the Beast.

Earlier this year Walt Disney World announced that they were launching a Disney Health Living program. This program is set to include Mickey Check foods. These foods are healthier and better for guests. Be Our Guests is the first restaurant to feature items that have the Mickey Check. Many other restaurants are scheduled to join the plan in 2013.

From the looks and reviews I have read the Be Our Guest restaurant will be a unique dining experience for guests. The food looks really good and the atmosphere looks top notch. Get started on your Magical Adventure Today!!
