Storybook Circus is finished

Hey Yall! Dad and Mrs. Mom leave tomorrow for Walt Disney World in sunny Florida. I am a little jealous of the weather they told me about for their 2 weeks there. Here in Oklahoma we are in the middle of a cool front and Dad and Mrs. Mom are boasting about how it will be in the 80s in Orlando. I know one of the big items Dad is looking forward to visiting is Storybook Circus in the new Fantasyland.

Storybook Circus finally opened this past week just in time for Palooza 2012. The construction in Fantasyland has put many characters into a migration pattern. The characters have been relocated to many different spots; some made sense others did not so much.

One of the main ideas in Fantasyland seems to be a place all about the characters. Children’s favorite stories seem to come to life here. From riding on Dumbo to visiting Prince Eric’s castle it is all about the story in Fantasyland. So of course this is where all the big time characters are going to hang out and give autographs.

With construction done in Storybook Circus, many favorites will be gathering at Pete’s Silly Sideshow to give out autographs and take pictures with guests. Guests will be able to find Minnie Mouse, Daisy, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Chip and Dale at Pete’s Silly Slideshow. It is really great to have all of the characters in one place for autographs. Trust me it is better than hunting all over the parks.

I remember when The Man-Child and I were young on our first trip waiting for what seemed like hours to meet Mickey Mouse. Characters at Walt Disney World come alive for children and other guests as well. It really makes Walt Disney World the most magical place on earth. I wonder how Dad and Mrs. Mom are going to handle going for the first time without us kids in 25 years.
