How many Tier 1 FastPasses in Hollywood Studios?

Prattsville Al

Hi Dad and thanks for your time. My question is about the FastPass tiers. I’m sure the info is out there but I haven’t been able to find it, so I’m hoping your experience will. August 29th, the opening of Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios, they are changing Tower of Terror and Aerosmith’s Rock n Roller Coaster both up to tier 1 FastSass status. I assume this is a way to help alleviate crazy crowd levels.

If we set up 1 tier 1 ride, say Tower of Terror, and 2 level 2 shows all as FastPasses before lunch, would it be possible to get another tier 1 level FastPass in the afternoon, assuming there is still an opening? Or is there a flat maximum of 1 tier 1 FastPass per person per day?

First, let’s take the what if part of your question. Technically, once you use all of your FastPasses for the day you are free to obtain any FastPass that is available for the park you are in or any other park. So, theoretically, the answer to your question is yes, you can reserve Tier 1 FastPasses after your first 3 have been used.

In practice, not so much. It’s a very rare day when Tier 1 FastPasses are still available even 30 days in advance, much less the on the day. The chances of getting extra Tier 1 FastPasses is pretty remote.

Although, I’ve heard rumors that Disney is holding back some Tier 1 FastPass times that are released during the day of, so there might be a chance.
