Dad is Retiring!

We’ll be closing this site on December 31, 2020.

As of June 2, 2020, we’ll no longer be updating content. But don’t worry - Dad’s friends can still help with all your Disney dreaming, planning, and booking needs!

Thank you for your support of Dad’s Guide to WDW for the past 11 years!

The Perfect WDW Vacation – Eating at Walt Disney World

Oh, boy. Now the fun begins. It’s time to figure out where we are going to eat on our Perfect WDW Vacation. Eating at Walt Disney World is more than just grabbing a bite and scarfing it down (yes, Dad is guilty of that). It’s another piece of the magical overall experience.

The Restaurants at Walt Disney World are special. Every one. Even just grabbing a pizza turns into a Toy Story Extravaganza. At WDW you can get meals that range from a hot dog and french fries all the way up to a spectacular 4-star dining experience and everything in between.

Starting this week we are going to start the next step in planning our Perfect WDW Vacation and that’s figuring out where we are going to eat. This process will take about a month to complete. We do have a deadline. When the countdown clock in the right hand column reaches 180 days, we have to be ready to make our ADR’s.

Don’t know what ADR’s are? That’s OK. We’ll discuss ADR’s tomorrow. Then we’ll talk some about the Disney Dining Plan and a few other household chores before we start (like talking about the mythical Free Dining), next week, talking about all the restaurants.

Mrs. Mom and I have spent the last 2 days talking about restaurants for our trip. It’s been great. We’ve had hour long discussions about where we plan to eat.

in your planning you should make sure that everyone gets involved. Talk about the restaurants you’re planning to eat at and make sure everyone is on the same page. (Part of our 10 steps to a Stress Free Disney World Vacation is to share and plan ahead.) Take it from someone that has created a Perfect Plan and not gotten the team on board, a Perfect Plan can go down the drain quickly.

This week is gonna be fun. Trust me.
