Touring hotels during Christmas season

"I just read we could tour the Disney World resorts for free during Christmas to see the decorations. Is this a scheduled tour? Do you go with a group? Do you need reservations ? Any information on this would be great!"

Oh, yeah! Love touring the hotels at Christmas

Desiree,

One of my favorite things to do is to tour the hotels during the Christmas season and see all the Christmas decorations. There are some that are "sick" (in a good way).

We've even put together a whole tour with a map that will show you how you can get to every hotel using Disney transportation.

It takes a while, but it's a lot of fun.

You don't have to do them all, but I would suggest to try to see all the hotels in the Magic Kingdom area. Yes, even the Fort Wilderness Campground (at night). The campers decorate their campsites. Some are very elaborate.

There aren't any schedule tours. It's all free. You just walk in and look around. One of the best things about Christmas at Disney is the decorations at the hotels.

Dad's Bottom Line

The bottom line is Christmas is the BEST time of the year to visit Walt Disney World and the hotel decorations are a big part of why. Tour away. It's free and it's fun.
