Hi, My family & I are going to and staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Any specials happening this time of month or anything we shouldn’t miss? Thanks!

Dad’s cooling Answer

Lisa C.

is one of the hottest places in the world to be. Or should I say one of the coolest places in the world to be. Or, maybe it’s one of the sickest places in the world to be. I can’t keep up.

July at Walt Disney World is hot, sticky and crowded. Crowded at Disney World is a good thing. Disney knows how to make crowds happy. They do that by making sure that most rides are open, by extending hours and by putting on special shows.

So what can you expect to see in July. For starters there is the huge Fourth of July celebrations. The firework shows are incredible. The Magic Kingdom show is so big that it’s estimated that over 500,000 people will line up in the park and around Seven Seas Lagoon to watch it.

Also, in July the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series will be happening in EPCOT. Three times each night a “tribute” band will be playing on the American Gardens Theater.

Dad’s Bottom Line

Lisa,

There are plenty of special “extras” that Disney is always throwing in during busy times. Check out your park map for the daily schedule. The concerts are really fun, but the big thing is all the rides (including the new Star Tours 2) will be up and running.

by: Lisa C. Just wanted to say “Thanks” for the response to my question. I know it will be VERY hot & crowded in July. I have been writing down all of the extra magic hour nights to all of the parks & decided we will visit most of them during this time and just relax by the pool during the day. Keep up the great work 🙂
