Water Park Fun and More items prices

by Jerry Storer
(Phoenix, AZ USA)

We are going to Walt Disney World the week AFTER Gay Days and I have 3 kids. We just got 4 days of regular tickets rather than park hopper tickets and figured we could get the most out of each park that day.

We wanted to add the Water Parks Fun and More option which includes the mini golf, virtual park at Downtown Disney and the water parks stuff, but decided against the extra $300 figuring we could piece meal what we wanted to do rather than get it all.

However, I can’t find ticket prices for those items ala carte. Do you know if we can purchase them separately?

Dad’s good question Answer

Disney does have lots of options for their Magic Your Way tickets. The Park Hopper option is very popular, but like you, I think you can save lots of money if you make a good plan without park hopping.

The Water Park Fun and More option gives access to lots of fun things, but it only makes sense if you are going to use it. This year, Disney has made it more affordable to add the Water Park Fun and More option when you purchase the Park Hopper option.

OK, so back to your question. How much to the Water Park Fun and More options cost if you buy them ala carte? Let’s just look …

  • Water Park Entry – Adults $52.00 Children $44
  • Oak Trail (Junior Golf Course) Adults $38 Juniors $20
  • WinterSummerland/Fantasia Gardens – Adults $12 Children $10
  • DisneyQuest – Adult $44 Children $38

Now how does that compare to the Water Park Fun and More option? The Water Park Fun and More option costs $57 each if purchased separately. If you add it to the Park Hopper option the combination is $79 (a really good deal if you will use them both).

So, if you are going to do more than one of the options on the list, it makes sense to buy the Water Park Fun and More option, but if you’re not doing more than one, you are wasting money.

Dad’s Bottom Line

Jerry, if you are going to do a Water Park (I highly recommend both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon (they are both extraordinary Water Parks) and any of the other things on the list then you should add the Water Park Fun option. If not, then skip it.

I like Typhoon Lagoon better than Blizzard Beach.
