“Hi dad! I would like to make a breakfast reservation for Trattoria al Forno. My question is should I make this reservation on my Epcot or Hollywood Studios day? Epcot day, walk through the park to enter the Boardwalk. Compared to walking from Hollywood Studios, or taking the boat across. I do not know what time the boats open? Or any other advice of how to get to the Boardwalk, for breakfast, from the Pop Century hotel. Thank you”
Six of One…
Currently, which day to go to Trattoria al Forno is kind of a six of one, half a dozen of the other deal. One is not better than the other.
For Epcot, you can take the bus to Epcot they walk all the way back to through the International Gateway to the Boardwalk. It’s a long walk.
I guess you could take the bus to Epcot, change buses to a Boardwalk or Beach Club bus, then go to the Boardwalk. It will save some walking but will probably take longer.
For Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can take the bus to the park then either walk or take a Friendship boat over to the Beach Club or Boardwalk. The boats do run at least an hour before Epcot and Hollywood Studios open so they should be running.
It really doesn’t matter much which day you choose.
A Better Option is Coming Soon
Sometime this fall, I’m guessing sometime in August. The new Disney Skyliner will open. It will have service from the Pop Century right to the International Gateway at Epcot. Just a few steps from the Boardwalk and Trattoria al Forno.
Even then it won’t matter which park day you choose. After breakfast, you can either walk in to Epcot or go grab a boat to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Dad’s Bottom Line
Kari, the bottom line on this one is there is no wrong answer. Once the Skyliner is running the trip will get lots easier and quicker.
