Which parks to visit Thanksgiving Weekend

by Linda
(Prue, OK USA)

Which parks should we visit Thanksgiving Weekend – Fri. 26th, Sat. 27th, Sun. 28th, Mon. 29th. This year. Plan on a park a day. 6 Adults and 1 Toddler.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Dad’s wow, that’s like next week Answer

OK, calm down, yes, it’s next week, but that’s almost an eternity when you’re waiting to to to Disney World.

Sorry Linda, Hey, fellow Okie (I just noticed). How’s the weather up there? Cold and rainy here. (I had to look up where Prue was, I’m sorry to say, even though I’ve driven by it a dozen times or so. I used to work in Tulsa.)

OK, on to the question at hand … Your trip next weekend. Here’s what Dad would do –

  • Friday – Disney Animal Kingdom. The park opens at 8 am, and it’s Dad’s guess that it will be the least busy.
  • Saturday – Magic Kingdom. Yes, it will be busy, but it’s open until midnight, so you have plenty of time to see everything.
  • Sunday – EPCOT. Sunday is a good day for EPCOT. Sunday morning especially should be lower crowds.
  • Monday – Disney Hollywood Studios. That leaves the Studios for Monday, which is the perfect day to visit. You’ll be able to see Fantasmic in the evening.

Dad’s Bottom Line

Linda, sounds like there’s one lucky little toddler with 6 grownups to boss around. You will experience crowds the first couple of days for sure. Just get to the parks when they open and do the big rides first. Make sure and take time out for the little one to rest. You should have a grand time.
