I’ve booked at Saratoga Springs, with free dining for Nov. I’m nervous about the style and upgrade of rooms. I can’t find alot of feed back on this resort. Please help. It’s just 2 adults going for a relaxing time – 2 days in parks for a 5 day stay. Help!

Dad’s It’s Different Answer
Susan, it’s true that all Disney hotels are different and all guests are different. Dad’s different. You’re different. We all have our favorite resorts. But while my favorites are the Polynesian or the Pop Century, I’d never turn down Saratoga Springs. Want to know why? There are lots of reasons! But before we get to that, Dad has something to say:
Even though you’ve chosen Saratoga Springs in order to get the Free Dining promotion instead of wherever was your first choice resort, I know you’ll have a wonderful time. If Free Dining is your top priority, then it doesn’t matter where you stay because all of the hotels on property are great.
If your top priority is truly staying at your first choice resort, then maybe it’s time to give up Free Dining to go with the hotel you want. It’s all about priorities, and remember what Dad said – we’re all different. There’s no “right” answer – but there the right answer for YOU.
Now, back to why you’re going to love Saratoga Springs:
First of all… IT’S DISNEY! There’s not a bad place to stay on property out of all the options. Not a bad resort. Not a bad room. You’ll be comfortable, clean, and safe no matter where you stay, and the service will be top notch. No one needs to fret about any Disney hotel.
Next, think about the days you’ll be at the parks. Those days, you’ll be busy elsewhere and it won’t really matter where you stay because you won’t spend much time there. At Saratoga Springs, you’ll have a comfy bed and a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day if you want, that sounds pretty great.
Now, on your non-park days, I think you’ll really appreciate Saratoga Springs. It’s a very relaxing resort – lots of adults and fewer kids, and at that time of year the weather is perfect for strolls to explore the resort. If you like to golf or go to the spa, you have both options on site!

Since you’ll have Free Dining, you’ll love that Disney Springs is just a short walk or boat ride away. They have dozens of dining options – you won’t be at a shortage for amazing food. Plus there is more shopping and entertainment than ever since the renovations to this area.
And speaking of those boats – if you want to have an adventure on your non-park days, you can easily boat to Old Key West, Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter if you want to check out the properties or have a bite to eat. They all have some great restaurants too.
Dad’s Bottom Line
Susan, you’re in for a wonderful stay at the Saratoga Springs. Trust me. Keep an open mind – who knows, you may have found your new favorite resort!
