What a great time to visit Walt Disney World. You are going to have so much Fun!
Christmas at Disney World is by far the best time of year to visit. The parks get all dressed up in Christmas decorations. The hotels get all decked out not necessarily with boughs of holly, but with some pretty cool trees and more. There are special shows, special treats and even a Magical party.
Decorating begins on...

The Christmas decorations start going up in the parks first. And it's pretty much like Magic. Usually, around the 2nd or 3rd overnight the Halloween decorations disappear at the Magic Kingdom and the next night all the Christmas decorations go up.
Magic Kingdom has to get everything up by November 8 because that's when the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party happens.
The other parks all decorate at the same time. So by the 4th or 5th the parks are all ready to go.
The hotels put out their decorations a little later. It's usually the week of the 15th when they start. There's a chance you might not see many of those, or you might. I hope the Grand Floridian gets done and you get to see it because it's AWESOME!
I'll be there too

It just so happens that Dad is going to be there the week of the 10th. I don't know exactly when, but I'll be there sometime that week and I'm throwing a Christmas Party so the decorations better be up. (They always are.)
Dad's Bottom Line
Monica, you and the kids are going to love Christmas at Disney World. Yes, the decorations will be going up while you are there. Have a great time.
