Will the Family Suites at the Art of Animation sleep 6?

by Corey
(Minneapolis, MN)

We are planning on booking for our first Disney World trip next fall. Our party consists of my wife, myself, our twins who will be just under 5 at the time and both our mothers. Would the suits at the Arts of Animation resort work or would it be too small. No one in the party has a problem with doubling on the bed. We want to stay on property and save a few dollars on the room since we only planning on using it to sleep and shower.

Dad’s The “Suite” Spot Answer

Corey,

It sounds like you’re planning the Perfect family vacation – with 3 generations to boot! And lucky you, traveling just in time to stay at the shiny new Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, complete with Family Suites that can actually accommodate your whole family!

While it’s true that Dad doesn’t always agree with Disney on how many people can comfortably sleep in one room (pull-out couches are NOT a substitute for a real bed in Dad’s humble opinion), The Art of Animation has really stepped it up a notch. Although the Family Suites only feature one “real” bed, the other two are a convertible table-bed and a full-sized sleeper sofa, you’re really traveling in an ideal party of six – since your twins are so small, if one shares a bed with each grandmother, everyone should be comfy!

The suite itself will be spacious enough for six to sleep and shower (plus take a little mid-day nap) and since there are 3 separate sleeping zones you can always put the kids down for a nap in the master bedroom while the adults enjoy the living/dining space. The two full bathrooms will certainly help everyone get ready in the mornings, and the kitchenette will help minimize the disruption of your home routine (an evening cup of tea? a bowl of cereal as soon as you wake up?), which can be very comforting on vacation.

Sure, you could get 2 rooms at any value resort for around the same price as the Family Suite, but you wouldn’t get to spend as much time together making magical memories. And Disney’s Art of Animation Resort looks like the Perfect place to do just that. From the detailed décor in each courtyard to the incredible pool areas, right down to the rooms themselves, this is one resort you won’t soon forget – Dad can’t wait to see it in person!

I would recommend you talk to Dreams Come True Vacations. They are truly experts in helping families choose the Perfect hotel for a trip. They won’t steer you wrong. Trust me.

Dad’s Bottom Line

Corey, your family sounds like the perfect fit for one of the new Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation. Staying together will allow your family to spend lots of time enjoying each other’s company, plus the unique layout of the rooms will allow everyone to have a bit of space to themselves. The only question is, which themed suites will you pick – Cars, Finding Nemo, or The Lion King?

by: Anonymous Thanks for your input. We have a tomboy and a little boy that both love anything with wheels. We gotta go with the Cars theme.
