Anandapur Yak and Yeti Restaurant

Yak and Yeti is two, two, two restaurants in one. (Some of you are old enough to remember that.) Yep, this restaruant is both an indoor, sit down, full-service, eat with silverware restaurant, and a order out, sit outside in the hot sun, eat with plastic, out of boxes, fast-food, quick-service restaurant. Two, Two, two restaurants in one.

One website call this Pan-Asian dining? What's up with that? Most "normal" people would call the food that's served here Chinese food.

Other Locations

There are Yak and Yeti Restaurants all over the world. There's one in Anchorage, two in Colorado, a hotel in Katmandu Nepal (don't you just love that name, Kat-man-du).

Sit Down Restaurant

Here's a quote from Disney's website about this restaurant - "Yak & Yeti Restaurant provides dine table-service dining during lunch and dinner. Situated at the base of Mt. Everest in the small town of Anandapur in the Asia area of Disney's Animal Kingdom Park ...

Just one question for you Disney - isn't Mt. Everest a little more than 198 foot tall?

The inside restaurant is open from 11:00 until the park closes. Since the park closes early most days, evening dining is limited. The menu is the same all day long

Sit Down Menu

Yak and Yeti has a full menu with lots to choose from. Prices are a little more than you will spend for most Chinese restaurants (I guess that's the Pan-Asian part). Entrees range from $18.00 to $25.00.

Dad's Simple Fun Magic Guide to Walt Disney World Planning

Dad's Bottom Line

We ate at the outdoor part. The first bite of our food was pretty good for take out Chinese (or Pan-Asian) food. The more we ate, the longer it took, the worse it got. Was it better than a hamburger with a wheat bun? Fur Shur.

I can tell you one thing for sure ... Don't eat at Yak and Yeti just before you ride Expedition Everest. Others will thank you (not literally).
